New Year – New Looks!

Everyone’s clamoring about the new hairstyle sensations here at Pon International.  The conversation is about bold and somewhat rounded silhouettes, shorter layering to add shape and color that smoothly melts into haircut-accenting dimension.

We’re really excited to see trends for hair take a modernized approach to classic styles. We’re revisiting fuller shapes and precise cuts but with a very current color palette. Look for smoky blondes through a darker but muted base, boldly tipped layers dipped in silvery shades, freehand sparks of color through a darker base and softly contrasting hues with a modernized placement of color.

A New Look

A “freshen up” makeover, this short but elevated, silvery blonde bob is styled smooth in front with rounded volume on top at the crown.

To get this look, apply Pon International Sealant leave-in conditioner and Turn It Up styling spray on damp hair before blow-drying with a Denman brush to control texture as needed. Switch to a round brush for volume on top and then flat iron once the hair is completely dry. Work through a small amount of Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It cream and piece the ends with Pon International Pon du soy paste.

Subtle Jewel Tones

From overgrown layers and splashes of green to a modern shag-like shape with heavy side fringe and blue ends, this look is a great alternative for longer hair.

To style, mist Pon International Elevate on the root and Turn It Up styling spray all over before blow-drying with a round brush for volume on top and smoothness through the length. Flat iron as needed through the ends to set a sleek finish. End with Bumble and Bumble City Swept and piece the ends with Pon International Pon du soy paste.

Adding Warmth

With sparks of bright red, this short brunette bob has long fringy bits at the sides and a distinctive asymmetric quality.

To get this look, apply Pon International Sealant leave-in conditioner and Turn It Up styling spray on damp hair before blow-drying with a Denman brush to control texture as needed.
